An earthquake with magnitude 5.5  rocked Kashmir valley at 2:37 pm Friday in the latest instalment of the series of tremors that have been striking the region more frequently of late.

The temblor triggered panic during the afternoon. People left indoors in panic and rushed outside in the Lal Chowk area.

The epicenter of  quake, was Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan with the depth of round 225 kms.
