As per a police source, two gamblers were arrested and three managed to escape when they were chased in the Kunzar area of Tangmarg on Friday.
As per the source, a group of gamblers namely Jehangir Ahmad Rather son of Abdul Rehman Rather and Nazir Ahmad Sheikh son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Archanderhama, were arrested at Lolpora Kunzar in an orchard while gambling while as Mehraj din Malik resident of Singpora, Gh Mohd wani resident of Lalpora and Manzoor Ah Rather resident of Archanderhama managed to escape.
Police has also informed that a cash amount of Rs 100500 was also recovered from the site. An FIR, FIR No 2u/s 13 has been lodged under gambling act against the culprits.
