Srinagar
A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Kashmir valley on Tuesday although there were no reports of casualties or any damage.
“An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale occurred at 10:17 p.m. on Tuesday,” Met Officials said.
The epicentre of the quake was at a depth of 40 kilometres in northwestern Kashmir, 118 kilometres from Srinagar, the officials said
Reports said that many people in several areas in the Valley came out of their residences to protect themselves.
