Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mehraj ud Din Mir today inaugurated the 5-day Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for the trainees, from the administrative staff, registered for Prabodh, Praveen and Pragya respectively, under Hindi teaching scheme, at Nowgam-II administrative cum academic block of the varsity here.

Addressing the participants, Prof Mehraj ud Din Mir, lauded the employees for passing different levels in Hindi teaching with good percentage. He said the employees were eager to learn the language and then subsequently use it in their day-to-day official work. The university Vice-Chancellor, asked the participants to take keen interest in the lectures to be delivered by the experts during these 5-days and clarify doubts and mistakes with regard to the use of Hindi. He also highlighted the benefits of learning other languages.

Assistant Directors, Central Hindi Training Institute, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language, Kamlesh Bajaj and Veena Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, expressed happiness over the success achieved by the staff in the examinations conducted for passing the three different levels in Hindi teaching. They asked the participants to continue learning the language with the same zeal and zest.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director, Raj Bhasha Cell, Sakina Akhter, enumerated several steps and measures undertaken by the Raj Bhasha Cell in promoting Hindi and utilizing the same in day-to-day functioning of the varsity. She said that regular classes are being conducted for the trainees who attend the same with enthusiasm. Sakina Akhter added that the Cell was conducting frequent Personal Contact Programmes in order to clarify the doubts of the trainees about the Hindi manuscript.
