State Governor NN Vohra had to cut short his speech to the joint session of the legislature on Monday as the principal opposition PDP, BJP and independent lawmaker Er Rashid raised a hue and cry over different issues like, new administrative units and allegations against ex-minister Shabir Khan.

The budget session 2014 started from today in Jammu, with the address of Governor.

As the Govenor started his speech, the opposition members created noisy scenes over the creation of new administrative units by calling their creation as “discriminatory”.

They also alleged that the Government is protecting Shabir Khan.

“Why has not been he arrested? The agitated members asked amidst noise and uproar.

Er Rashid called the creation of new administrative units as a conspiracy to change the demography of the State.

Some legialstors even demanded the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand.

Amidst complete uproar, the Governor stopped his speech midway and left the Assembly hall.
