SRINAGAR: Army, police and CRPF personnel on Saturday recovered a cache of explosives and ammunition after busting a hideout in the Draba area of Surankote in Poonch district, officials said.
Officials said a joint operation was launched by the Army’s 16 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group (SOG) Bufliaz and 38 Battalion of the CRPF following specific intelligence inputs.
During the search operation, the forces recovered one gamla-type IED, one gool-type IED, four small IEDs, a Motorola wireless set and seven rounds of AK-47 ammunition, they said.
