Kulgam police has started a rescue operation in Waltaingu Nad, where 60 people are reported trapped in an avalanche prone area.
“Kulgam police dispatched a team of 30 jawans to rescue 60 civilians in avalanche prone area of Waltaingu Nad,” a police spokesman said.
According to reports, some sixty civilians of Walatiangu Nad area are trapped in an avalanche prone area. The local sources said that police has reached near the spot and the rescue operation has been started. They said that more than five feet snowfall was recorded in the area.
