SRINAGAR: A 60-year-old man was killed after being struck by a moving train near the Zangam Flyover in the Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, officials said.
Officials identified the deceased as **Mohd Ramzan Malla (60)**, son of Ali Mohammad Malla and a resident of Hanjivera Payeen, Malpora.
They said the incident took place near Railway Pole No. 92 when a train travelling from Budgam to Baramulla hit the man. He sustained critical injuries in the accident and succumbed to them at the scene.
Soon after the incident, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Community Health Centre (CHC) Pattan for medico-legal formalities.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
