SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for the completion of an 810-metre-long viaduct near Ramsoo in Ramban district and the 3.5-km AT-03 Tunnel connecting Digdole to Panthyal on National Highway-44.
In a statement, Sinha said the projects marked another milestone in strengthening road connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir and would improve all-weather access across the region.
He said the newly completed infrastructure would facilitate smoother and safer movement for residents, tourists, freight vehicles and security forces, while also ensuring seamless travel for pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 by bypassing landslide-prone stretches along the highway.
Calling the projects a significant achievement, the Lieutenant Governor credited the Prime Minister and the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry for transforming the Union Territory’s highway network.
The 810-metre viaduct near Ramsoo and the 3.5-km AT-03 Tunnel between Digdole and Panthyal are scheduled to be opened for traffic on July 3, 2026.
