SRINAGAR: Several areas of Kashmir are likely to face scheduled power shutdowns for up to six hours on different dates between September 2 and 7, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Tuesday.
According to KPDCL, power supply will remain affected in the following areas due to maintenance and other works on 33 kV lines:
On September 3 and 7, power supply to Ashajipora, Dialgam, Rohu, Malaknag, Reshi Bazar, Brakpora, Janglat Mandi, Shirpora, Nowgam and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Wanpoh-Ashajipora-Malaknag DC line.
On September 2 and 5, the shutdown of the 33 kV Kulgam-DH Pora line will affect DH Pora, Ahmadabad, Aharibal, Bhatipora, Hospital, KB Pora, Nagam, Khull, Gopalpora, Rambhama, Nillow, Arreh, Begam, Sehpora and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm.
On September 5, power supply to Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Badampora-Lar-Tulmulla line.
The shutdown of the 33 kV Badampora-Kurhama-Dab Tap line on September 5 will affect Dab, Batpora, Rabitar and adjoining areas during the same hours.
Also on September 5, the shutdown of the 33 kV Alasteng-Nagbal line will affect Shuhama, Bakura, Fethapora, Gadoora, Tulbag, Chundina, Saloora, Sherpathri and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm.
The 33 kV Gadoora Tap line will remain shut on September 2 and 5, affecting power supply to Fathapora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Shairpathri, Kachan and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm.
On September 6, the shutdown of the 33 kV Lassipora-Reshipora line will affect Zainapora, Chitragam, Awneera, Reban, Aglar, Suggan, Turkawangam, Nagbal and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm.
The 33 kV Lassipora-Landoora line will also remain shut on September 6, affecting Landoora, Hermain, Hajipora, Hotline Hermain Hospital, Mantribugh, Chakoora, Wachi, Aglar, Frisal Mooman and adjoining areas during the same period.
Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 kV Lassipora-Keegam line on September 6 will affect Pakherpora, Hawal, Rajpora, Rahmoo, Keegam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Charipora and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm.
Meanwhile, power supply to Deewan Colony, Shalimar, Arabal, Tailbal and adjoining areas will be affected on September 3 from 8 am to 2 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV GIS Theed-Shalimar line.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled shutdowns.
