A meeting for reviewing the performance under District plan and centrally sponsored schemes for the period ending December 2012-13 was conducted at Dak Bungalow Khanabal Islamabad under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Islamabad, Farooq Ahmad Shah.The meeting was attended by all District officers.

While taking the review of the achievements made under various sectors, it was told that under R&B sector, 55.75 Kms and 38.40 Kms against targets of 81.47 Kms and 42.56 Kms of roads were metalled and blacktopped by making an expenditure of Rs 7.39 crores.

Under PMGSY out of 116 schemes of phase III to VII 69 schemes were completed with an expenditure of Rs. 107 crores, In phase VII, (sanctioned recently) out of 43 schemes, 20 projects have been tendered.

Under MGNREGA, an expenditure of Rs. 19 crores has been made thereby generating 8.59 lakh man days and completing 2812 numbers of works against an availability of Rs. 22 crores. In lAY an expenditure of Rs. 8.12 crores against total availability of Rs. 12 crore has been made. 2272 number of lAY Houses have been constructed against the target of 5486 houses and the remaining 3114 IAY houses are under progress.

Under PHE sector, out of 5 NO of targeted schemes, WSS Brimer Nersar has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 43.47 lakhs benefiting 1137 souls. An expenditure of Rs. 1.80 crore against availability of Rs. 2.86 crores has been made upto December 2012.

Under Education sector, 83338 students have been provided with free text books, 248 girl toilets have been constructed and 93093 students have been provided Mid day meals.
Under the SKEWPY, 5543 educated unemployed youth were provided VSA amounting to Rs. 3.34 crores.

While concluding, the District Development Commissioner reiterated upon the officers to provide all types of service to general masses up to their satisfaction and incorporate ethical standards in their service delivery.
