SRINAGAR: Finally, the newspapers from Delhi and other places have started flying to Srinagar. This is happening for the first time after almost seven months.

Janta Agencies is the main distributor of newspapers and magazines in Kashmir

“Yes, we have resumed the activity and all the national newspapers – both Hindi and English – have started reaching Srinagar on daily basis,” Ghulam Mohiuddin, the promoter of Janta Agencies said. His agency is taking care of the circulation of all the newspapers being published from Delhi and elsewhere. “We have resumed the activity but a lot of people do not know that the newspapers have started being circulated in Kashmir.”

Mohammad Iqbal, the manager of the Agencies said that they have also arranged the study material of various publishers that the student community requires for preparing for various competitive examinations. “Students can even directly call us so that we arrange the delivery through our agents,” Iqbal said. He said people can call at fixed-line number 0194-2474755 or even at cell number 9797818919.
