8 Kg’s of narcotic substance recovered in Pampore: Police

Police recovered 8 Kg’s of narcotic substance from a residential house at Pampore. A statement said on Sunday.

It added that on a tip off, Pampore police raided a house at Dhobi Mohalla, Kadlabal Pampore. During the search police recovered 08 Kg’s of Cannabis from the house.

The owner of the house Abdul Hamid Mir alias Hamid Charsi son of Ghulam Rasool was taken in to custody for questioning.

A case FIR No.10/2014 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in police station Pampore in this regard.

Police said that the investigation has been started and more recoveries and arrests were expected.

Police said that it was the third success of Awantipora police against the drug menace this fortnight. Previously 11 kgs of charas were recovered from Sofigund Tral on January 4 and 2.5 Kgs of Charas were recovered from Khrew on January 10.
