Eight residential houses were damaged in different fire incidents across the valley. A police statement said on Sunday.

Fire broke out in the residential house of Kulwant Singh son of Omkar Singh resident of Gadpora, Tral, in the jurisdiction of Police station Tral Awantipora, resulting in damage to the house. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local Police.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in the residential house of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Salam resident of Akhoon Mohalla Brain Nishat, which engulfed to adjacent house of Manzoor Ahmad son of Mohammad Akbar Rather, resulting in partial damage to both the houses. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local Police.

In another incident, fire broke out in the residential house of Mohammad Maqbool Dar son of Ghulam Ahmad Dar resident of Watkiloo, Putalaban, in the jurisdiction of Police station Char-e-Sharief, Budgam, resulting in damage to the house. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local Police.

In another incident, fire broke out in the residential house of Abdul Salam Dar son of Late Abdul Ahad resident of Karpora, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nishat, Srinagar which engulfed to three other adjacent houses, resulting in damage to all the structures. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local Police.
