Two persons died and fourteen others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, police said in a statement here on Sunday.
“A 70 years old Abdul Aziz Bakerwal son of Khan Mohammad resident of Palma, Rajori was seriously injured after his fall from a Bus bearing registration number Jk02AD/8367 at Hurpora, Shopian. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries”, the statement said.
Meanwhile, A LP Turbo passenger Vehicle bearing registration number 3176-JK01N collided with a tipper bearing registration No. 1994-JK04B on NHW near Chandhara crossing Awantipora, resulting in injuries to six passengers. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Pampore. Awantipora Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, an Indica car bearing registration number 8679-JK01M and Alto car bearing registration number 1820-JK05C collided near District Forest Officers Office Langate at NHW, Handwara, resulting in injuries to seven passengers including both the drivers. All the injured have been shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. Langate Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Tractor bearing registration number 6646-JK04A met with an accident at Kawacheck,Kreeri, Baramulla, resulting in on spot death of the driver Javid Ahmad son of Ali Mohammad resident Kawacheck, Baramulla. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Kreeri Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Maruti car bearing registration number 3726-JK01 hit and injured a pedestrian Nazara Daughter of Mohammad Paswal resident of Kalakoot Rajouri at present Monghall near Monghall bridge Anantnag. The injured has been shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag. Anantnag Police has registered a case in this regard.
