SRINAGAR: An eight-year-old boy was injured after being attacked by a leopard in the Wagila area of Wagoora in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday evening, officials said.
The injured child was initially taken to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla for treatment. The child was later referred to Srinagar for specialised medical care in view of the nature of the injuries.
The incident comes amid repeated leopard sightings in residential areas of Baramulla, where residents have expressed concerns over the presence of the animals near inhabited areas.
