During the month of January, 2015, the State Vigilance Commission (SVC) has received 88 complaints of malpractices and corruption against the public servants.

According to a government statement on Monday SVC has decided 122 different complaints on merits during the same time period.

The statement said that since its inception the Commission has received 2248 complaints, out of which 1289 have been decided on merits. Remaining 959 complaints are at various stages of disposal.

The statement added that the Commission has been hearing the complaints and other cases on regular basis both at Srinagar and Jammu and has already finalized a calendar for time bound investigations and enquiries by Vigilance Organization to provide speedy justice to complainants.
