In a shocking road accident on Kishtwar-Himachal Highway, 9 member of family hailing from Tham village of Padder Tehsil of Kishtwar District.
While divulging the details, a senior police officer in Kishtwar said that 9 family members including two kids, four women and three men died when a vehicle bearing registration No: HP01C-0809 meet with a road accident near Rohli village of Pangi Sub Division of Himachal Pradesh located on Kishtwar-Padder-Himachal National Highway some 125 KM from Kishtwar.
Police said that all the family members were return to Padder after paying obeisance at local Tirloki Nath temple in Himachal Pradesh. Kishtwar Police said that the accident has took place a day before and they came to know about the said accident only after an injured Sher Singh son of Bansi Lal resident of Tham Padder manage to reach nearby road side after regaining his conscious and informed the people. Police said that the area is isolated and had no communication network.
Police said that rescue operation has launched by the Himachal and Padder police and added that all the dead bodies have been recovered from the ill fated vehicle. Kishtwar police said that they were in constant touch with Himachal counterpart so that the dead bodies of all the deceased could be shifted to native village for last rites. The injured Sher Singh has also been hospitalized and his condition is said to be stable. The incident has spread a shock wave across Padder and Kishtwar.
