SRINAGAR: JKLF leader Yasin Malik who walked out of jail on Saturday visited the families of three young men who were killed in Budgam. They were killed in an encounter, police said.

A party spokesman said Malik visited Nowhatta, Narbal, and Gouripora. He expressed solidarity with families of the three boys who were killed in an encounter recently. Sajad Ahmed Gilkar (Nowhatta), Aaqib Gul (Gooripora) and Javaid Ahmed Sheikh of Churpora (Budgam) were killed, according to police in an encounter, Budgam’s Redbug belt. Their families said they got the information about their becoming militant, at a time, when they were trapped in a siege.

Malik sympathised with the families. He was arrested on July 3, in anticipation of the week long protest calendar issued by the separatist leaders. He remained in jail for 13 days and was released on bail.
