SRINAGAR

Castigating Indian government forces for targeting Journalists and protestors, chairman United Jihad Council, Syed Salahudin Friday alleged that though a section of media is representing India in Kashmir, however, the majority of Kashmiri journalists are representing the sentiments of Kashmiri people.

In a statement issued to Srinagar based news gathering agency CNS, Syed Salahudin while addressing the leaders of the UJC thanked people of Kashmir for boycotting the electoral process. He said that by staying away from poll process the people of Kashmir have sent a message to India as well as International community that they can’t bargain with the blood of those Kashmiri people who laid down their lives for the Freedom Movement.

“Despite random arrests of Kashmiri people and separatist leaders by State Police, its agents and Indian Forces, Kashmiri’s have proved that they are ready to go for any sacrifice to attain their objective,” UJC chairman said.

He said that ‘Mujhadeen’ are active on their front and with the passage of the time struggle against Indian troopers would be intensified. “Those who backtrack from the ongoing Movement would have to answer and they will repent at the end of the day,” he said adding that he is sure that whole Kashmiri nation would stay away from the election process in future.
