Prof Saif-u-Din Soz, the president Pradesh Congress Committee and former union minister on Sunday said that Aaam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s debut win in Delhi has come as a shock for the congressmen in the country.

Talking to KNS, Prof Soz said the election elections results that have come in four states including Delhi must act as a warning for the congressmen in the country to work doubly and get awakened to the new challenges on the ground.

“This is politics and there are ups and downs but AAP’s win has come as shock for the congressmen in the country. This is surely an awakening call for all of the congress men in the country and a message has come that we have to work very hard,” Prof Soz told KNS.

He, however, maintained that India is a democracy and the democratic institutions have gained strength. “Let me tell you that the BJP propaganda will not work.”

Asked if the elections results of the four states including Delhi, MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh will have any impact in Jammu and Kashmir, the PCC chief said: “There is no impact of Modi in Jammu and as far as the valley is concerned Congress has emerged as a vibrant force to reckon with.”
