After Hurriyat octogenarian Syed Ali Geelani, Dukhtaran-i-Milat Chief has also decided to stay away from the Eid-i-Milan party being organized by Pakistan at its Indian embassy in New Delhi. DeM Chief Aasiya Andrabi in a statement to CNS claimed that Pakistan has “hurt the sentiments of Kashmiri nation as this country did not care to raise Kashmir issue” with India during a conference that recently concluded at Ufa in Russia.

“We were hurt the way Nawaz Sharif ignored Kashmir during his meeting with Indian counterpart. We have decided not to participate in Eid-i-Milan party,” Andrabi said adding that Pakistan cannot take Kashmiris for granted.

She alleged that Nawaz Sharif wanted to keep Modi in “good humour”. “Kashmiris are not against the idea of India and Pakistan mending their relations but it should never be at the cost of Kashmir issue and the sentiments of Kashmiri nation,” she said and appealed the political and religious parties of Pakistan to make the ruling party understand the importance of Kashmir issue.
