Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have solved a kidnapping case of a girl in shortest possible time and arrested the accused involved in the crime
The spokesman in a statement said that Police Post fruit mandi Sopore received a report from a person stating that his minor daughter was kidnapped by a person.
“On receipt of this information, police post fruit mandi acted swiftly and a team led by DO Police Post Fruit Mandi Sopore under the supervision of SDPO Sopore initiated searches to trace the minor girl,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said that the minor girl was rescued by Sopore police today from the clutches of kidnapper namely Mohammad Rustum Sheikh son of Assadullah Sheikh resident of Gantmulla Baramulla, and after medico-legal formalities victim was handed over to her parents.
In this regard case, FIR No. 103/18 u/s 363 RPC was already registered. Accused has been arrested and further investigation is going on, the police spokesman said.
