Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have solved a kidnapping case of a girl in shortest possible time and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
A police spokesman said in a statement that on March 25, 2018, Police Station Budgam received a written complaint from Aijaz Ahmad of Kakan Maran that his sister (name withheld) had been kidnapped by Zahoor Ahmad Dar of Chatabugh Budgam.
“Upon receiving this information, a case FIR NO. 56/2018 under section 363 RPC was registered and an investigation was taken up,” the spokesman said.
“During the course of an investigation, raids were conducted by Budgam police at various suspected places and subsequently the said girl was recovered and the accused was also arrested during the same intervening night of 25/26 March 2018,” the spokesman said.
