Authorities on Friday suspended four employees of education department after they were found absent in the school.

Reports said that a team headed by Chief Education Officer Kulagam Abdul Ahad Ganaie paid a surprise visit to Government Higher Secondary School Qaimou and found two teachers and two Laboratory Assistants absent from the duty.

All the four employees vide order number CEO/K/IMW were placed under suspension.

Deputy Chief Education Officer Bashir Ahmed told CNS that the department tries to ensure that all the teachers remain present in every school of the town so that students don’t suffer.

“Our inspection team visits each and every institution on daily basis and takes action against absentees,” he said.
