ACB Orders Transfer of Several Senior Officers Across Kashmir, Jammu Branches

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has ordered a significant reshuffle of its senior officers to ensure smooth administrative functioning and operational efficiency across its branches in the Union Territory.

As per the order, Javid Hassan Bhat, JKPS, who was serving as SSP SBG Branch ACB Kashmir and also holding the additional charge of AIG (Administration), has been transferred and posted as AIG (Headquarters), ACB Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Mehmood Ahmed, JKPS, AIG (Headquarters), has been shifted and posted as AIG (Administration), ACB Headquarters Jammu and Kashmir.

In another move, Manzoor Ahmad Mir, JKPS, SSP APKS Branch ACB Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as SSP SBG Branch ACB Kashmir, while Abdul Qayoom, JKPS, SSP DKR Branch ACB Jammu, who was also holding additional charge of the UR Branch, has been posted as SSP P/S Central Branch, ACB J&K.

The order further mentions that Surinder Kumar, JKPS, SSP P/S Central Branch ACB Jammu and Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as SSP DKR Branch ACB Jammu, and Mohd Saleem, JKPS, Additional SP P/S Central Branch ACB J&K, has been posted as SP APKS Branch ACB Kashmir. Similarly, Sunny Gupta, JKPS, Additional SP JSK Branch ACB Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SP UR Branch ACB Jammu.

According to the directive, all these officers will assume their new assignments after the culmination of the Vigilance Awareness Week, which is scheduled to conclude on November 3, 2025.

Officials said the reshuffle is part of a broader administrative exercise aimed at strengthening coordination, improving internal oversight, and ensuring the continued effectiveness of the Bureau’s anti-corruption operations in both regions of Jammu and Kashmir. (KNT)
