Four staffers, including a branch head of Jammu and Kashmir Bank of Pathankote branch, were killed in a road accident on Jammu-Pathankote highway in Barnoti area of Kathua district.
Reports said that the 4 staffers are posted in Pathankote and had come to Jammu on Friday, given the two-day week off.
The identity of the 4 has been ascertained as Mohan Singh, aged 55 Senior Executive and presently branch head, a resident of Trikuta Nagar Jammu; Ajay Kumar Koul, aged 46, Executive, a resident of Talab Tilloo; Anil Kumar, aged 25, Associate executive, a resident of Shastri Nagar Jammu; Rakesh Charak, aged 40, Associate Executive, a resident of Samba. All the four were posted in the Patahnkote branch of Jammu and Kashmir bank.
They said that the 4 early Monday morning left Jammu to reach their office in Pathankote in a Swift car. “Near Barnoti, the driver lost the control of the vehicle and collided with a road divider. The car then turned turtle to the other side of the road and was hit by a speeding vehicle coming from the opposite direction.”
They said that all the four died on the spot.
