Police Monday informed that an army man died when his service rifle went off accidentally inside an army camp in South Kashmir’s Kulgam.
Identified as Naik Nek Ram of 18 Dogra Regiment, the army man was hit in the head by a bullet.
“He was rushed to District Hospital Kulgam where he succumbed to injuries,” the police officials said. “We have started inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of Ram’s death.”
