SRINAGAR: Ahead of Muharram, the District Administration Srinagar has established a dedicated 24×7 Control Room at the DC Office Complex to facilitate seamless observance of religious processions and public services.
The initiative has been undertaken under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, with the Control Room functioning under the overall supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Aadil Fareed. The move is aimed at enhancing inter-departmental coordination and ensuring timely response to public grievances or requirements during the religious period.
The Emergency Operation Centre can be reached by the public through landline numbers 0194-2457543 and 0194-2457552, and via WhatsApp helpline numbers 9103998355, 9103998356, and 9103998357.
Citizens should use these contact lines for assistance related to basic amenities, traffic regulation, sanitation, medical support, and other essential services along the routes of Muharram processions.
