The elections of Shopian Bar Association were held on Tuesday.
Adv Mohammad Mubashir Gattoo was elected as president and Adv Tariq Ahmad Shah as General Secretary of the district Association.
Adv Abdul Basit and Adv Mudasir Ahmad Dar supervised the election process.
The term for these posts would remain for one year from 10/08/15 to 10/08/16.
Both the persons were elected unopposed as none of the bar members filed any nomination for the said posts.
On the occasion, both the office bearers said that they will work day in and day out for the welfare of the organisation. “And some concrete steps would be taken to help the needy lot of society in every respect,” they said.
