SRINAGAR: Police on Thursday issued an advisory urging people not to share or circulate pictures or videos related to the encounter that took place in the Nadar Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police spokesprrson, in a statement said: “General public is advised not to upload, share, or circulate pictures, videos, or any other content related to the encounter that occurred at Nadar Tral on 15 May 2025.”
“Sharing such content can unintentionally promote extremist propaganda. It may also affect the ongoing investigation. Circulating unverified information can spread fear and panic. If you come across such content, do not engage with it,” the statement added.
Police further advised people to avoid visiting the encounter site.
“Awantipora Police requests all citizens to stay away from the encounter site to ensure their safety, considering the possibility of unexploded materials left behind by the militants. We seek the cooperation of the general public in this regard,” the statement concluded. (JKNS)
