Advocate Ghulam Hassan Dar of Congress who has contested for Assembly election Thursday joined one of the ruling regimes, National Conference (NC) along number of other party workers at Shahgund Sumbal Sonawari in presence of senior National Conference leader and Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone, party Provincial President and MLA, Nasir Aslam Wani and MLA, Javid Ahmad Dar.

Speaking on the occasion, Lone said that after the inspiration and people friendly policies of the NC headed by Union Minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Dynamic Chief Minister,  Omar Abdullah, such large number of workers from the Congress party has joined the NC.

He said that the people have understood that the NC has always projected the cause of the people of the state without giving preference to the personal interests. He said that history stands testimony to the fact that the party has rendered enumerable sacrifices for the interest of the state and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

While welcoming the workers in the party fold, the Minister said that the party will give due honour to each worker and hoped that with the joining of party by these workers, NC will strengthen its base at the grass root level in the area.

The newly joined workers said that they have full faith in the leadership of NC and they have joined the party after inspired by its people friendly approach besides its quest for socio-economic development of the state. They assured that they will work hard for strengthening of the party in the area.
