SRINAGAR: A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan on Sunday, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.
The earthquake occurred at 9.36 am IST, with its epicentre located near the Hindu Kush range along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
According to the NCS, the tremor originated at a depth of 147 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the earthquake.
