SRINAGAR: A man was killed after falling from a walnut tree in the Damjan area of Qazigund in south Kashmir on Sunday, reports said.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, son of Mohammad Ramzan Bhat, a resident of Damjan, Qazigund.
According to reports, Bhat fell from the tree while carrying out work and sustained fatal injuries. He was declared dead at the scene.
Local residents said Bhat belonged to a financially disadvantaged family and was its sole breadwinner. He is survived by his wife and two young children.
