As faithful across sub-continent are stuck to their TV sets, Pakistan has finally decided to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan’s Central Hilal Committee based in Lahore announced that Shawal Moon has been sighted across Pakistan and Eid-ul Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday in Pakistan.
The announcement was made by Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman around 10:09 PM (IST)
It will be after around 30 years that sub-continent will celebrate Eid with Saudi Arabia. Otherwise, Saudi Arabia would celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr a day ahead of sub-continent.
The sighting of Moon ends month long Ramzan when Muslims fasted for long hot days during June and some days of July 2016.
Thus, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday across World.
