At least three militants reportedly gave slip to forces in Namman Kakpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama Saturday afternoon after engaging with them in a brief gunfight.

The locals told Kashmir Life that militants fled in a Wagon R car.

Earlier a police party from Srinagar’s Cargo had reportedly reached Namman to be the part of gunfight that briefly broke out between militants and a joint party of army and police’s special operation group.

Reports said that gunshots rang in the village after the militants clashed with the joint party of army and SOG that showed up in the area acting on a tip-off.

Unconfirmed reports said that a civilian got injured in a brief exchange of fire.
