Police Wednesday arrested Jammu Kashmir National Front Chairperson and Hurriyat (g) leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan after he was coming out of Hurriyat (g) Conference office at Hyderpora.
A Front spokesperson said, “after participating in the Hurriyat Conference (g) meeting police arrested Khan and took him to Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) Humhama.”
The spokesperson strongly condemned the unnecessary arrest of Khan, saying that that Mufti Sayeed’s regime has directed “police to silent all the opposite political voices”.
Terming the arrest of Nayeem Ahmad Khan as an “act of hooliganism at the hands of police”, the spokesperson said, “arrests and restrictions cannot deter the pro-freedom leadership from raining their voice.”
