SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a change in the recruitment process for faculty positions at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) and SKIMS Medical College, Bemina.
In a notification issued by the General Administration Department, it was stated that all the Gazetted/Faculty vacancies/posts under direct quota in SKIMS and SKIMS Medical College will now be filled through the J&K Public Service Commission.
This decision is a continuation of a previous reference made by the department on January 15, 2021. The reference advised SKIMS to fill all Class-IV and Non-Gazetted vacancies in the institute by submitting appropriate indents to the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB).
The notification further urged concerned authorities to take necessary action in accordance with the new recruitment process.
