J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Friday held a meeting in Srinagar to chalk out its future strategy in the state.

Congress legislators and party workers present in the meeting discussed various ways to strengthen the party in state. Several other issues were also discussed in the meeting including the need to improve the coordination between Council of Ministers and the Party.

Leaders present in the meeting also discussed the reasons for its failure in the recent parliamentary election. Congress leadership has emphasized its ministers to focus their attention on important issues that will prop up in the coming days.

Meeting was also attended by the President State Congress unit Proff. Saifuddin Soz besides Ghulam Nabi Azad also spoke to the party cadre present in the meeting.

Notably congress had to face defeat in all the three Parliamentary seats it contested in the state.

Both the coalition parties presently ruling the state have pressed the panic button trying to mobilize the public opinion in its favour as the state is scheduled to go for the assembly election in the coming months.
