Valley’s summer capital Srinagar witnessed the hottest night of the season today at 22 degrees which is three degrees above normal.

The valley faces humid weather during the day with no respite from the heat from last few days. However as per Met department rains and thundershowers could occur at isolated places during the next 48 hours.

The night temperature was around three degrees above normal, as per MeT record adding that the mercury during the day yesterday was 33.7 degrees. MeT said that Srinagar recorded the hottest night of the season after mercury surged and settled at 22 degrees, against 21 degree recorded yesterday.

Meanwhile, the hot and humid temperature continued during the day despite prediction of rain at isolated places in this summer capital.
