Militants on Friday evening attacked a paramilitary camp in Midoora village of Tral in south Kashmir.

Reports said that suspected militants fired upon a CRPF’s 180 battalion camp in Midoora village of Tral hamlet. However, there were no immediate reports of any damage from the spot.

Meanwhile, forces have cordoned off the area and searches have been launched to nab the attackers. Pertinently, from last few hours, a series of attacks were witnessed in different parts of Kashmir.

Earlier, in Islamabad district’s Srigufwara area, a grenade was lobbed at police station Srigufwara which exploded near the boundary wall and no damage was reported from the spot.

The attack was followed by another one near police post-Islamabad, resulting in injuries to a policeman identified as Sajad Ahmad. Sajad was later shifted to nearby hospital for the treatment.

At around 7:00 pm today, a CRPF camp was also attacked in Tahab Pulwama, followed by another attack in Sopore, however, no damage was reported from the site.

Delayed reports suggest that another attack was reported in Keegam Shopian, and no damage was reported from the spot.
