The Governor’s administration on Friday released the list of names for grant of State Awards on Republic Day in various fields.

Muzamii Mumtaz, a resident of Satrina, Kangan district Ganderbal has been accorded State award for Bravery.

Tsering Wangdus Lonpo ( Writer/Translator in Ladakhi Language), Noor Shah(Urdu Writer) and Shiv Dev Singh Sushil (Dogri writer) have been accorded State Award for achievements in the field of literature.

Makhanlal Saraf (actor), Dermesh Nargotra (Dogri Singer) and Sherine Fatima (Folk Singer Balti) have been accorded State Award for Performing Arts.

Farooq Ahmad Mir (Kani Shawl Weaver) and Tariq Ahmad Mir (Sozni Crafts) have been awarded for excellence in Arts and Crafts.

Association for Social Health in India, J&K Branch has been accorded State Award for Social Reforms and Empowerment.

Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Industries & Commerce Department, Swayam Prakash Pani, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Sheetal Nanda, IAS, Administrative Secretary, Department  of   Rural   Development   & Panchayati Raj, Khalid Jahangir, KAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, G. R. Mir, KAS, Additional Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department, Subash C. Chhibber, KAS, Additional Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, KAS, Director, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Narinder Khajuria, KAS, Additional Secretary to the Government, Housing &    Urban Development Department, Javid Ahmad Koul, Senior Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch Kashmir, Dr R.K. Chrangoo (Retd.) Surgeon, Dr Reyaz Untoo, Principal, SKIMS, Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar and Dr Saima Rashid, Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar have been accorded State Award for meritorious public service.

Dr Jitendera Udhampuri and Dr Girja Dhar (Posthumously)    have been accorded state life time achievement awards.

Chandeep Singh (Para-sports), Farheen Fayaz (Pencak Silat), Nirmal Kumar (Mountaineering), Balveen Kaur (Gymnastics), Rasik Salam (Cricket), Danish Farooq (Football), Saqlain Tariq (Volleyball), Shreya Gupta (Fencing), Bilal Ahmad Dar (Cycling), Jasia Akhter (Cricket), Ummar Ashraf (Deaf Cricket), Hiteshwar Singh (Rollball), Women’s Ice Hockey Team Leh have been accorded State Award for outstanding Sportsperson.
