Ahead of the joint silent protest program by separatists, authorities on Tuesday placed most of the leaders under house arrest.
Hurriyat Conference (m) leaders Shahid-ul-Islam and Javid Mir were placed under house arrest, a Hurriyat leader told KNS.
The separatists were scheduled to hold joint silent protest program on 15 June (tomorrow) against the proposed Sainik and Pandit colonies.
Almost all senior Hurriyat Conference (g) leaders have already been detained by the authorities.
