“The Kashmiri people have become wary of the word ‘probe’ because for them it is nothing but a time-buying exercise meant to deceive and hoodwink,” Rashid said adding  “Kashmiris will not beg before New Delhi for the revocation of AFSPA from Jammu and Kashmir.”

“AFSPA or no AFSPA, the truth is that while the Army oppresses Kashmiris under the cover of this  draconian law, the police and other agencies do the same without this law ,”Rashid said while addressing his party workers in Chandigam, Lolab.

Rashid said, “the different political parties imposed on Kashmiris, will have to understand that mere rhetoric won’t do them any good now and they will at least have to come up with a common minimum programme and impress upon New Delhi that the blood of Kashmiris is not cheap.”

He criticized leaders for “befooling people” by issuing mere press statements under “heavy security” nor can the “genuine voice” of people be suppressed by house arrests and other tactics.

Pertinently government had ordered a probe in the killings of two innocent youth allegedly killed by army troopers during the intervening night of May, 29-30 triggering clashes in the area and followed by a simultaneous shutdown in valley on Monday.
