SRINAGAR: An Air India Express flight operating from Delhi to Srinagar via Jammu returned to its point of origin on Monday afternoon, without making its scheduled landing at Jammu airport, according to media reports.
Flight IX-2564 was expected to land in Jammu around noon before proceeding to Srinagar. However, officials said the aircraft hovered over the Jammu airport for some time before the pilot chose to return to Delhi.
The reason for the aborted landing was not immediately known. The officials added that it appeared the pilot was unable to identify the appropriate landing zone.
