SRINAGAR: Akasa Air has announced that it will be flying to Srinagar from Mumbai daily as of March 1, 2024. The move is aimed at meeting the escalating demand for air travel between these two cities.

Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the announcement, highlighting Srinagar’s scenic beauty and the potential to boost economic activity in the area through increased tourism. He emphasised Akasa Air’s rapid expansion, noting the achievement of adding 20 destinations to the network within just 17 months of operations.

The low cost carrier has more than 20 aircrfats in service. Since its inception in August 2022, Akasa Air has served over 6.3 million passengers and has established connections with 20 cities across India.

The addition of Srinagar to its network marks a significant milestone in the airline’s growth trajectory, further solidifying its position as a key player in the Indian aviation industry. Travellers can now book flights to Srinagar through Akasa Air’s website, mobile apps, or leading online travel agencies, with bookings available starting February 2, 2024.
