Authorities today decided to close all the educational institutions in Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Friday (Tomorrow) following the killing of two militants in Lolab shootout.
An official said that the all schools and colleges across Kupwara district shall remain closed except in Machil, Tanghdar and Keran areas.
The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to avoid law and order situation in the district, he said.
“Restrictions under section 144 shall remain enforces from tomorrow morning in parts of Kupwara including Lolab,”
Earlier, two Hizb militants Zahoor Ahmad Mir and Bilal Ahmed Shah were killed in a brief shootout at Khumriyal in Lolab.
