All Jammu Kashmir Patwar Association Elects New Leadership

   

SRINAGAR: The All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association (AJKPA) elected a new Union Territory (UT) body following a smoothly conducted election in Jammu. The process, overseen by the Election Authority comprising the Province Presidents of Kashmir and Jammu, was held in the presence of official observers and magistrates to ensure transparency.

Delegates participated enthusiastically, casting their votes in a democratic and peaceful manner. The newly elected leadership has vowed to prioritise the welfare of Patwaris and address long-standing concerns within the fraternity. Gh Mohd Sofi was elected as the UT President, with Iftikhar Mirza and Peer Shafat assuming the roles of First and Second Vice Presidents, respectively. Other key office bearers include Syed Danish Qadri as General Secretary, Vinay Sharma as First Secretary, and Nissar Ahmad as Second Secretary. Additionally, Gh Mohd Wani was appointed as Chief Organiser, while Milop Singh took on the role of Organiser. The positions of Publicity Secretary, Auditor General, Treasurer, and Accountant were secured by Abid Rashid Mughal, Jahangeer Ahmad Khan, Rabindar Singh, and Nissar Ahmad, respectively.

In his address, UT President Gh Mohd Sofi assured members that the association would make every effort to resolve their grievances and improve working conditions. He reaffirmed the commitment of the newly elected body to advocating for the rights and interests of Patwaris across Jammu and Kashmir.

The association extended its gratitude to all delegates and members for ensuring a fair and transparent election. The leadership also acknowledged the support of DP Jammu in facilitating a smooth electoral process.
