SRINAGAR: Around 300 candidates appeared in the general ability test 2021, held by ALOHA across Kashmir on Saturday.
In a statement, a spokesman of ALOHA said, after almost a two-year lull, the most popular and unique competitive examination, ALOHA GAT was held across the Valley of Kashmir for 6th to 12th standard students by Aloha J&K.
“The Examination was held at SRM Welkin Sopore for North Zone, Hajahad School Awantipora for South Zone and Aloha J&K Head office Karan Nagar for Central Zone,” the statement said.
“Around 300 students participated in this exam with Covid Appropriate Behaviour. GAT General Ability Test is a 3 phased Exam conducted by Aloha since 2009 in order to groom the students for competitive exams from a very young age. This exam is based on civil services pattern i.e, prelims, Mains and Interview. Students from class 5th to class 10 are eligible to participate in this exam,” it said.
“GAT is an open platform and the best opportunity for the Young learners to come out of their school environment and compete with their fellows across J&K,” it added.
“It is an awareness, a preparation and planning for the career examinations which they have to face in their future and makes the participants competent and confident. This year we had included the higher secondary two classes, 11th and 12th also which was the most pressing demand of the students and parents,” said the statement.
