Announcing the achievement, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha lauded the efforts of officials, security agencies, service providers and volunteers for ensuring the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

In a post on social media, Sinha said the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra had created a historic record by crossing the three lakh pilgrim mark in only 12 days.

“I commend all the officials, service providers and volunteers. Their dedication and hard work have made this holy pilgrimage smooth and memorable for every devotee of Baba Barfani,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor also greeted devotees with the slogan, “Har Har Mahadev!”

The annual pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine in the Himalayas has witnessed an overwhelming response from devotees this year. The yatra has been progressing peacefully under elaborate security arrangements, with extensive logistical support provided by the administration, security forces, healthcare workers, and volunteers.

Officials said the record footfall reflects the growing enthusiasm among pilgrims and the effective management of the yatra despite challenging terrain and weather conditions. The pilgrimage is scheduled to continue until Raksha Bandhan, subject to weather conditions.
